Russian Crews Train for the Olympics at Grafton Rowing Club - Page 1
Grafton Rowing Club members Michael Collins and Rob Bruce travelled to Sydney on August 15 to collect the Russian boats for the crews to train at Grafton for the Olympics. Alexei Pozdniakov, coach of the Russian eight, met the pair at the Olympic Rowing Course near Penrith to supervise the boat loading on August 16.

This was the first trip for the new trailer and proved extremely successful. After picking up more boats at Ausrowtec, the trio travelled to Grafton, arriving in the early hours of Thursday, August 17. The boats were unloaded later that day.

All the boats arrived intact, waiting for the arrival of the rowers by plane later in the day.
