Learn to Row at Grafton Rowing Club
|

|
Learn to Row lessons are held at Grafton
Rowing Club in February and September each year. Lessons are at 8:30 am
on Saturday Mornings.
Learn to Row Programs are based on up to 6 x 1½ lessons over an 8 week
period. The first introductory lesson is free with the remainder of the
program covered by a single $50 fee to cover costs and insurance. Those
who decide to continue rowing at the completion of the program receive a
discount on their full membership. |
Contact Don Noble on 026642 6389 about
the next Learn to Row Program.
Lessons are currently restricted to adults only - schools students are
encouraged to approach their school about existing rowing programs or to
canvass the school to make arrangements with the club for assistance with a
program specifically tailored for school students.
Suitable clothing includes "bike pants" or shorts and T-shirt. We
suggest bringing a towel and change of clothes, just in case.
Whilst
Saturday mornings and the two Learn to Row programs each year are the established times for beginners to learn to row, this is not the only time available. After initial lessons, novices are
encouraged to attend the club at other suitable times during the week.
|
The club welcomes all people interested
in taking up rowing to join in - people who have rowed before through to
those who have never even seen a rowing boat are invited to participate.
Men and women, even
people in their 60s and 70s (right) enjoy the sport of rowing.
If you can't make it on Saturday
mornings, or have any enquiries, please
contact the club for answers to
your questions or for other suitable times to visit the club. |
